The Mindful Catholic By Dr. Gregory Botarro: This book is full of wonderful exercises that gives the reader a clear picture of what mental health looks like. Dr. Botarro, give the readers daily exercises to help train the mind. The Mindful Catholic helped me when give birth to my last baby. Using these mindful exercises enabled me to be calm through my labor and I was able to tolerate the pain.I highly highly recommend this book!!

One Beautiful Dream by Jennifer Fulwiler: Okay, this one is so funny it will make you happier as you scramble in the grocery store with your little’s. I added this to mental health because we mothers need a good dose of this type of humor to keep us going.

Love and Responsibility Saint john Paul ll I admit I have’t read this one. If you want to go right to the source of the teaching of theology of the body, read this classic.

These Beautiful Bones by Emily Simpson This is such a beautiful book. It shaped my understanding of theology of the body and the importance of how we see the human body and how it relates to everyday life.

The Good News about Sex and marriage revised edition by Christopher West This one is a great one for everyone. It is theology of the body simplified and explained.

The Jewelers Shop by Saint Paul The ll This classic is one of my favorites. It is simple yet gets to the heart of a complacant married couple. Its worth the read to strengthen your own marriage.

At the Heart of the Gospel This one is one of my favorites. Christopher West explains theology of the body in relationship with the gospel.

The Read Aloud Family by Sarah Mackenzie : This is a must for every family homeschooling for not. She discusses how reading aloud as a family is a simple yet invaluable way to build family connections. Listening to this book on audible, really solidified, what I guessed at. We love reading aloud and quoting our favorite books. Its, lovely to hear mike engage with eh kids in this way.

Wild + Free Series: These books are very inspiring. I flip through her Wild+ Free series when I need motivation. There is a distinct message in all her work; building relationships with our children are the most important thing.

Theology of the Home l I loved this book! A beautiful concept! These books are amazing to have on the coffee table, friends enjoy flipping through this series. My girls like looking through my copy.Theology of the Home ll Bucketlist!Theology of the Home lll Bucketlist Theology of the Home IV Check this one out on audible as well! Bucketlist! Its’ lovely to have these types of books lying around for kids to look at and to remind me of what my homemaking goals are.

Hungry for Home: Ruth Mckeaney: This one is on my bucket-list. I love watching Homeworthy and Ruth McKeaney’s videos. She is such an amazing Christian woman who puts God and relationships at the center of her home-life. Ruth has a heart for family. She shares recipes and family living inspiration in her book. I’m waiting for the fall, a time I have time to poor over this beautiful book.

The Catholic Table by Emily Simpson Chapman : My sister in law loves this book! It discusses putting food and feasting in its proper order. If you have a child that has an eating disorder or is prone to, this is an amazing book.

Tea and Cake with the Saints: A catholic Young lady’s Introduction to Hospitality and Home-arts. Just the title of it speaks to my heart.

House Rules: Its helpful to know basic design rules, this will help you create an ordered and beauty into the home. These skills and tips can be passed onto our children.

Homemaking Books for the Crafty Mother

I’m terrible at doing these liturgical year activities and devotions. I love the idea of doing them, and at times I wish I was the mother who had the time and energy for it. Mothers who thrive in this area are awesome! Here is a list of some beautiful books to start with.

The Catholic All Year Compendium by Kendra Tierney : This book is a good guide for the reasons why liturgical living is important. It has very creative, and sometimes ma-cob ideas for the implementing activities through the liturgical year.

Living the Seasons by Erica Tighe Campbell: This beautiful book is a lot of fun to look through and is written for the visual learner!
